Professional Care: Assessments are conducted by a registered HCPC (Health and Care Professions Council) healthcare professional.

Orthotics:

 •  Off-the-Shelf Orthotics: Although off the shelf orthotics are a good starting point and may be suitable for some, they are a general fit and may not achieve the desired effect due to the non-customised nature of the product.

 •  Fully Customised 3D-Printed Insoles: A precise impression of your foot will be taken to create insoles tailored to your biomechanical needs.

* Please note that the effectiveness of the orthotics will relate to how well you utilise the exercises the clinician gives you to help with the symptoms you are experiencing. It will also depend on how often you are wearing the orthotics and what shoes you are wearing them in. Even with the use of orthotic it may take up to 12 months for your symptoms to completely settle.*

Follow-Up Appointments: If you experience issues with your insoles, we will address your concerns. However, additional appointments after the initial 6-week check will incur a charge of £40.00 per session.

Gait Analysis + Rehabilitation Package:

•  This package includes three rehabilitation appointments. Patients can choose how to utilise these sessions, such as:

•   Working on lower limb strength and stability

•   Increasing running mileage (e.g., marathon preparation)

•   Laser therapy sessions for pain management

•    Sessions can be spread out or scheduled close together based on patient needs.

Advanced Technology Used in Gait Analysis

At Foot Formula, we utilise cutting-edge technology to provide a thorough and accurate assessment of your gait and biomechanics. Our assessment incorporates:

1. Pressure Plate Technology: This technology measures the distribution of pressure across your feet as you stand, walk, or run. It identifies imbalances, areas of excessive pressure, and abnormalities in your gait pattern.

2. Scanning Technology: High-precision foot scanning creates a detailed 3D model of your feet. This model is essential for designing fully customised orthotics tailored to your unique biomechanical needs.

 3. System (if chosen): This advanced motion analysis tool uses optical sensors to measure and analyse your gait in real-time. It captures precise data on stride length, symmetry, and other key metrics, offering insights that are invaluable for performance improvement and injury prevention.

 Hands-On Approach

In addition to the use of technology, our HCPC-registered healthcare professionals perform a hands-on assessment to evaluate foot function, joint mobility, and muscle strength. This combination of manual expertise and advanced technology ensures a comprehensive understanding of your biomechanical profile.

 How the Technology Works

The integration of pressure plate and scanning technology, along with Optogait (if selected), allows us to:

 • Detect subtle gait abnormalities and asymmetries that may not be visible to the naked eye.

 • Provide a detailed, data-driven analysis of your foot function and movement patterns.

 • Develop a more accurate and customised treatment plan, whether that involves orthotics, rehabilitation exercises, or other interventions.

This approach ensures your treatment is specifically tailored to your individual needs, improving outcomes and supporting long-term foot health and performance.
