  • Matty Llewellyn Sports Therapist | MSc Sports Rehabilitation & Therapy | BSc Strength & Conditioning | BASRaT Registered

Hi, I’m Matty — a Sports Therapist with a genuine passion for helping people move better, feel stronger, and recover with confidence. I hold an MSc in Sports Rehabilitation and Therapy, a BSc in Strength and Conditioning, and I’m registered with BASRaT.

I work with a wide range of clients, from everyday gym-goers to competitive athletes, providing tailored rehabilitation programmes that focus on restoring function, building resilience, and preventing re-injury. My approach combines manual therapy techniques — including soft tissue release, joint mobilisations, IASTM, and movement correction — with progressive, goal-based exercise.

I also specialise in sports massage therapy, using deep tissue techniques, trigger point therapy, and myofascial release to ease muscular tension, reduce pain, and support recovery. Whether you're preparing for an event or managing daily stress, my treatments are designed to enhance both performance and well-being.

In addition to clinical rehab, I’ve carried out pre-season strength and power testing for football teams, helping coaches and players make informed training decisions and reduce injury risk. I also lead structured strength programmes for individuals at risk of muscle loss, using tools like grip strength testing, isometric assessments, and body composition analysis to create personalised, evidence-based plans.

My background includes pitch-side care, injury triage, and exercise prescription for clinical populations — giving me a broad and adaptable skillset. I’m committed to making rehab clear and effective, offering guidance that’s easy to follow and tailored to you.

Whether you’re recovering from an injury, managing a long-term condition, or simply aiming to feel and perform better, I’m here to help you every step of the way.
